What does Sugbutel mean?
Sugbutel is derived from the Visayan word “Sugbu,” the original name of Cebu.

What is a family hotel?
A family hotel is a place where everybody, parents and children, feel relaxed and secure. It’s a budget friendly hotel that provides flexible accommodation wherein guests are given the option—to either get a bed and socialize with other guests or to opt for a private room and enjoy solitude and intimacy with their closest kin.

Where is Sugbutel located? How do I get there?
Sugbutel is located less than 500 meters from SM and near the Cebu Port Area. Jeepneys and taxicabs are available to take you to the hotel. Contact Us

How do I make a reservation?
For guaranteed reservations with instant confirmation, it can be booked via sugbutel website. Reservations can also be made thru telefax (+63) 32-232-8888, cellphone (+63) 917-629-9961 or email reservations@sugbutel.com. Walk-in reservations are also accepted.

What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
a. Postponement of bookings to another date or time shall be allowed only if made fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the date of arrival and if the accommodation is available on the date of reschedule.

b. Cancellation, at the instance of the CLIENT/ENGAGER, shall be valid only if made in writing and refund for a valid cancellation shall only be issued under the following conditions:
b.1 Cancellation received at least 14 days before the booked date of stay – 90 % of the total amount
b.2 Cancellation received within 14 days before the booking date – NO REFUND.

What is the mode of payment?
Transaction over the counter can be paid in cash or credit card. Transactions via online reservation through the Sugbutel, website can be made through credit card or paypal. Reservations made via call or 
email inquiry can be paid through bank deposit or through the credit card after availability is confirmed by the Reservations In-Charge.
A Manager’s Check is also accepted for guaranteed group bookings.

What amenities do you provide?
The dormitory-type accommodation has free WIFI, centralized air-con, common shower, and entertainment lounge. Private rooms has hot and cold shower, LCD cable TV, telephone, complimentary bottled water, and free WIFI.

We also have available food & coffee vendo machines, coin operated internet computers,Automated Teller Machine (ATM), a convenience store 
and a food outlet inside the building.

What is the time of check in / check out?
Hotel check-in time is two in the afternoon (2:00 p.m.); check out time is twelve noon (12:00) the next day.

Is it possible to check-in earlier?
Yes if the room is available.

Do you allow late check-outs as well? 
Yes, we do. However, we charge a late check-out rate equivalent to 10% of the regular accommodation rate after 12 o’clock noon time. Check-out beyond 6 o’clock in the evening is charged at full rate.

How much is the discount rate for children? How about senior citizens? Disabled guests?

Is breakfast included in your accommodation?
Breakfast is not included. However, we have very affordable breakfast meals offered in the building starting from P68.
Room service is available at a specified time. You may call the Front desk for assistance.

Is the convenience store within walking distance of the hotel?
Actually, we have a convenience store within the hotel & is open until 11 o’clock in the evening.

Do you have laundry services?
Yes, we have. You may bring your clothes & fill in the laundry checklist provided in the housekeeping office.

Do you have facilities for physically challenged guests?
The hotel’s elevator is suitable for physically challenged guests. Toilet facilities are also available for them.

Do you have airport transfers?
No, we don’t have. However, taxi is very accessible and is available 24 hours.

Do you allow pets inside the hotel?
No pets are allowed inside hotel premises.

Is smoking allowed inside the hotel?
Sugbutel is a non-smoking hotel.
